About Us

About the Author

Hi, I’m Joe, the person behind Should I Buy This Crap.com. I built this site because I got tired of marketing fluff, fake reviews, and wasting money on products that weren’t worth it. My goal is simple: help people make smarter buying decisions and avoid buyer’s remorse.

I live in Colorado along with my love, Jen and our 5 pups Artemis, Ralphie, Scarlett, Candy and Striker (we’re bad foster parents), our adult niece and her two kids.

I’m a traveler, gear junkie, amateur photographer, national park enthusiast, recovering marketing student, and lifelong collector of completely unnecessary opinions.

Over the years I’ve tested a lot of products, visited some incredible places, and purchased enough questionable items to qualify as my own consumer research department.

Here at Should I Buy This Crap?, you’ll find honest reviews, practical buying advice, travel stories, technology discussions, guitar gear rabbit holes, and the occasional rant about people treating public spaces like personal photo studios.

If I can save you money, help you avoid a bad product, or convince you to buy a refrigerator magnet while traveling, then I’ve done my job.

Welcome to the crap.

What is Should I Buy This Crap.com

Should I Buy This Crap.com exists to help people cut through marketing hype and figure out whether products are actually worth their money. We look at products from a consumer’s perspective and focus on value, usefulness, durability, and real-world experiences.

Why I Started It

Like most people, I’ve bought things that looked amazing in ads and turned out to be complete disappointments. After wasting money on products that didn’t live up to the hype, I decided to create a place that asks the question we’re all thinking: “Should I buy this crap?”

What You’ll Find Here

Product reviews, buying guides, comparisons, recommendations, and honest opinions designed to help you spend money more wisely.

The Future

Should I Buy This Crap.com is currently an independent project and is evolving into a formal business. As the site grows, so will the tools, reviews, and resources available to readers.
